2020 Summer Theatre Camps

BOXTALES DISTANCE-LEARNING SUMMER CAMP 2020! There’s no substitute for face to face, group interaction and learning in the performing arts, but creating this program has been surprisingly exciting. While there are many things we can’t do or can’t do as well in a virtual world, we are discovering a plethora of resources we had never dreamed of. In some ways, this version will be even better! The camp will be conducted on a ZOOM format, with both synchronous and asynchronous classes, taught by Matt and I. In addition, there will be selected online classes taught by the world’s most famous teachers, in the same performing art forms we base our method on and we will curate a collection of videos of the world’s best performing artists from throughout history for the students to watch. Our physicality will vary between seated screen focus and our normal rigorous challenges. We will be structuring the time so that our community of students gets valuable social time together, and some out-door activities as well.
